Model Diff and Merge
A crucial aspect in any multi-user/multi-site project is the capability for concurrent modeling. The primary “Hub” for this aspect in VSEE is the SSRDB which provides the required functions. Due to the common architecture of VSEE, these components can be deployed either- server or client-side. That means that a model diff or merge can be run either on the client (e.g. in a disconnected scenario) or on the server (e.g. when different branches need to be considered).
Here are two videos which show these aspects:
- Creating a diff report between 2 versions of a model
- A full branch based concurrent model modification (i.e. Prime/Supplier scenario) with SSRBD in the loop
