Model Annotations
Model annotations are an integral part of the VSEE Metamodel, they are used for a variety of purposes:
- Manual model reviews: In this case, annotations like RIDs or SPRs are created by reviewer either directly in the tools or in a browser in case of a web based model review
- Marking results of consistency checks: Model elements which violate a constraint as defined in a model check get annotated by the corresponding check script
- Diff results and model merge conflicts: Model merge conflicts are also issues on the model a user has to deal with, so they are also flagged by means of annotations
Annotations are visually flagged on the originating graphical symbols or icons in tree and table views, they can be viewed and edited either inside an element’s property sheet or collectively in a dedicated annotation table editor.
