Category and QUDV Design
Having a common definition for the properties in a set of models is a key aspect in both tool-to-tool integrations (such as the Catia Integration) as well as when dealing with multiple (sub-)contractors.
VSEE supports this by incorporating the QUDV model and expanding it by a powerful category model. In a nutshell, users can
- define Categories, such as Budget, Cost, Physical, Electrical, etc.
- relate them to each other via containment and inhertance
- constrain them for possible assignment to model element types
- add QUDV based properties, such as Length, Height, Width to Mechanical
VSEE also comes with an integrated set of SI Definitions for Units and support for modeling complex properties such as Tensors. In SSDE, this is realized by a graphical category editor:
